3. General information and mandatory disclosures

Privacy Policy

We treat your personal data as confidential and handle it in accordance with applicable data protection laws and this Privacy Policy. Please note that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating via email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities—it is not possible to completely prevent unauthorized access by third parties.

Time of storage

Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this Privacy Policy, we will retain your personal data until the purpose of the processing no longer applies, or until you request that we delete it or withdraw your consent. Statutory retention requirements remain unaffected.

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure the website operates without errors. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior (see “Analytics Tools” below).

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You may withdraw any consent you have already given at any time, effective for the future. The lawfulness of the processing up until the time of withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

If the processing of your personal data is based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. If your data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing purposes; this also applies to profiling in connection with direct marketing.

Right to object to data collection in specific cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

In the event of a violation of the GDPR, you have the right to submit a complaint to a supervisory authority in your country of habitual residence, your place of work, or the location of the alleged violation.

Right to data transferability

You have the right to receive data that we process automatically based on your consent or a contract, either directly or through a third party, in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request direct transfer to another controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.

Automated decision-making, including profiling

No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can tell this is the case by the “https://” in the browser address bar. When encryption is active, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Access, Deletion, and Correction

In accordance with applicable laws, you have the right to request, at any time and free of charge, information about your stored personal data, as well as the right to have this data corrected or deleted. Please feel free to contact us at any time regarding this matter or if you have any other questions.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted:

  • if you dispute the accuracy of your data and we need to verify its accuracy;
  • if the processing is unlawful and you wish to have it restricted rather than erased;
  • if your data is no longer needed, but you need it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims;
  • if you have submitted an objection under Article 21(1) of the GDPR and it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail.
Objection to promotional emails

We hereby expressly object to the use of the contact information published in accordance with our legal obligation to provide an imprint for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising; we reserve the right to take legal action against the unsolicited sending of advertising materials (e.g., spam emails).

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our website uses so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that do not cause any harm to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit; permanent cookies remain until you delete them yourself or your browser deletes them automatically.

Our consent management tool: Borlabs Cookie. We will ask for your consent before storing cookies that are not strictly necessary; you can change your settings at any time.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies (third-party cookies) may also be stored—for example, for analytics or advertising purposes.

Cookies have different functions:

  • technically necessary cookies (e.g., shopping cart functionality, video playback) — processing based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR or, where applicable, (b);
  • Cookies for analytics or advertising — processed only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set, to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, or to automatically delete them when you close your browser. If you disable cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the connecting computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP-Address

This data is not combined with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest in ensuring the error-free operation of the website).

Contact form

If you submit an inquiry to us via the contact form, your information, including your contact details, will be stored for processing purposes. It will not be shared without your consent.

Data processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual) or, if not related to the performance of a contract, on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest) or your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), provided that consent was obtained.

We will retain the data until you request its deletion, revoke your consent, or the purpose no longer applies.

Inquiries via email, phone, or fax

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, we will store and process your inquiry, including any personal data (e.g., name, inquiry details), in order to address your request. We will not share this information without your consent.

Data processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (where contract-related) or Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, or Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (where consent is provided). We will retain the data until you request its deletion, revoke your consent, or the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies.

5. Plugins and Tools

Google Fonts / Font Embedding

We use fonts that are embedded locally via the Avada theme’s functionality—there is no connection to servers operated by Google or other providers.

OpenStreetMap

We use the map service provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF), 132 Maney Hill Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B72 1JU, United Kingdom. When you use the map feature, your IP address and browser data, among other things, are transmitted to OSMF. The legal basis for this is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The use of this service serves our legitimate interest in presenting our online offerings in an appealing manner (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the United Kingdom.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to analyze user behavior. For this purpose, your IP address is shorted (IP masking) and processed in a pseudonymized form. The legal basis for this is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For more information and to opt out, please visit google analytics privacy policy.

jQuery / jQueryUI via CDN

To optimize loading speeds, we use JavaScript libraries via the Content Delivery Network (CDN) provided by Google LLC or code.jquery.com. In doing so, your IP address may be transmitted to the respective providers. The legal basis for this is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

For us, data protection is more than just a legal obligation—it is part of our commitment to quality. If you have any questions about your data or this privacy policy, please feel free to contact us at info@quantec-services.de.
